When orphan Runa is approached by a halfbrother she never knew existed, he offers her a share of a hidden inheritance – if she helps destroy a Nazi-era painting said to be cursed. It harbors a force of mythic evil that has survived the war, capable of corrupting all who see it and reviving the rise of evil forces. As the dead stir and the shadows of the past grow stronger, Runa discovers she alone is immune to the painting’s destructable force.
